Welcome to jgandrews.com! I enjoy researching and writing about many different topics. I largely do it to indulge my own curiosity and interest and to enrich my own knowledge of a subject. Recently I have decided to start publishing various articles here as good motivation to actually finish some things!

As I say, enjoy doing these things for my own interest however I do hope others finds them interesting and if so that is great and it makes me happy.

I truly hope you, the reader, who has found this site finds some useful information here and/or enjoys the content as and when it trickles in.

The first piece is an article about how the Enigma Cipher machine works. I wrote this so that I could understand it better. I have always been fascinated with Enigma and its place in the history of cryptography and computing.
